What is the purpose and legal basis for processing of your personal data?

The purpose of the JD TeleTech network is:

  • To increase the quality of life of patients/citizens with a chronic disease by the use of new technologies.
  • To ease the workflows of healthcare professionals in the work and collaboration with patients/citizens with a chronic disease.
  • To collaborate on developing, testing and evaluating new telehealth/telerehabilitation and welfare technologies between universities, hospitals, municipalities and industry in Japan and Denmark.
  • To facilitate the development of new products, methods, and solutions for diagnostic, treatment, and rehabilitation purposes in private/public partnerships between Japan and Denmark.

These purposes are achieved by informing you about the new developments in the forms of newsletters. Furthermore, the network will plan events such as webinars, which you will be invited to participate in through your personal data.

The legal basis for processing your personal data is based on your explicit informed consent. This consent allows for the JD TeleTech network to send you newsletters and invitations to events.

What personal data do we collect?

The personal data we collect is used so that we can provide you with the services of the JD TeleTech network. Some of the personal data is mandatory for your participation in the network, and other information is optional; the optional information you provide can be used for more specific functions, such as webinars.

The personal data includes the following:

  • Your contact details: name, e-mail, affiliation, address, phone number, and home page
  • The categories of care or cooperation in which you are interested
  • Statistical data about your email interaction with the JD TeleTech network

Where does your personal data stem from?

Your personal data (excluding statistics) is collected only from information that you have given us when you subscribed to the network, or from your profile on the website (jdteletech.com). You can at any time see your profile and edit or remove your personal data.

The statistics about your interaction with e-mails from the JD TeleTech network are provided by the Newsletter plug-in. All processing is performed on Aalborg University servers.

How long do we keep your personal data?

Your personal data will be stored until you withdraw from the network or until the network is dissolved.

What are your rights if you want to retract your consent?

You can at any time retract your consent to use your personal data, but this will also withdraw you from participation in the JD TeleTech network. Your consent cannot be retracted retroactively.

The subscription confirmation e-mail as well as each newsletter you receive will contain a link to unsubscribe. Or you can contact the data responsible at the e-mail address above.

What are your rights?

The general data protection regulation gives you certain rights over hoe we manage your personal data. If you want to exercise these rights, you can contact us at the address above.

Right to access

You have the right to request information about any personal data that we possess on you, at any time.

Right to correction

You have the right to request correction of your personal data if the information is incorrect, including the right to have incomplete personal data amended or corrected.

Right to erasure

In special cases, you have the right to have your personal data erased before your data would normally be erased following our general personal data erasure policy.

Right to restriction of handling

In some cases, you have the right to ensure restrictions on the management of your personal data. If you have the right to restriction on the handling of your personal data, we can henceforth only manage your personal data – with the exception of storage – with your consent, or with the purpose of determining, enforcing or defending legal claims, or for protecting a person or important social interests.

Right to objection

In some cases, you have right to object to our otherwise legal management of your personal data.
